This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who helps us process it and the choices you have.
Who we are
Artistry Music is a Hindustani classical vocal music school in Glen Waverley, Victoria. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. For any privacy question, contact us at info@artistrymusic.com.au or on 0434 718 882.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: student name, email address, mobile number, student age, previous singing experience and any message you choose to write.
- Phone, email and WhatsApp: the details you share when you contact us.
- Enrolment: the details we need to arrange and manage lessons.
- Website use: only if you accept cookies, information about how you use the site (see Cookies and tracking).
We don't ask for sensitive information such as health details. Please don't include it in a message unless it's needed for your lessons.
How we use it
We use personal information to reply to enquiries, arrange and manage classes and events, keep in touch about lessons you are enrolled in, and improve our website. We don't sell or rent personal information.
Children
Our students include children aged 6 and over. Enquiries for students under 18 should be made by a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time.
Who helps us
We use these service providers to run the website and our communication. Some of them store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
- Formspree receives enquiry form submissions and emails them to us.
- Microsoft 365 hosts our email.
- Hostinger hosts this website.
- Google Analytics measures website visits, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel measures our Facebook and Instagram advertising and lets us show our ads again to people who have visited this site, only if you accept marketing cookies.
- Google Maps loads only if you choose to show the map on our Locations page.
We never send the content of your enquiry, your name, email or phone number to Google Analytics.
Meta: if you have accepted marketing cookies and you send an enquiry, the Meta Pixel may collect the email address and mobile number you entered, in a scrambled (hashed) form, to match the enquiry to a Facebook or Instagram account. This helps us measure and improve our advertising. Meta does not receive the student's name, the student's age, the experience level or your message. If you don't accept marketing cookies, nothing is shared with Meta. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy and may process it outside Australia.
Storage and security
We keep enquiry emails for up to two years and then delete them, unless you become a student, in which case we keep the information needed to manage your lessons. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@artistrymusic.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (opens in a new tab).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the bottom shows when it last changed.
